Former mayor, MLA Donna Barnett among newcomers elected to 100 Mile House council

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — A popular former mayor and MLA has returned to the municipal scene, grabbing a spot on 100 Mile House council.
Donna Barnett was the top vote-getter in Saturday’s (Oct. 15) election. She was chosen on 82.7 per cent of ballots.
Barnett will join incumbents Ralph Fossum and Dave Mingo, as well as newcomer Jenni Guimond. Incumbent Chris Pettman was among three candidates who were not elected.
Councillor Maureen Pinkney moves into the mayor’s chair. She was acclaimed as they only candidate to let her name stand when Mitch Campsall decided not to run again.
