Brand new mayor and council to take on the many challenges in Lytton

LYTTON, B.C. — The Village of Lytton’s recovery will be led by Denise O’Connor.
O’Connor was elected mayor of the village Saturday (Oct. 15), defeating Edit Loring-Kuhanga and Willie Nelson.
She succeeds Jan Polderman, who led the community through its rebuilding from the devastating 2021 wildfire that destroyed much of the village.
O’Connor will lead a council of Nonie McCann, Melissa Michell, Jessoa Lightfoot and Jennifer Thoss.
