Two teens arrested after bear spray robbery of Valleyview liquor store
KAMLOOPS — Two teenagers have been arrested after a robbery involving bear spray in Valleyview Thursday (Oct. 13).
Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to a Valleyview Drive liquor store at about 4:50 p.m. for a theft of liquor. The two were confronted by employees as they tried to flee, and witnesses said they released bear spray in response.
“Police were provided with a description of the suspects and quickly located one nearby,” said Evelyn. “Shortly after, police found and arrested the second suspect in a restaurant along the highway frontage road.”
The two were lodged in cells before being released to their guardian with a court date and conditions.
