Five arrested, guns seized in Quesnel

QUESNEL, B.C. — Five people were arrested and seven firearms were seized in Quesnel Thursday afternoon(Oct.13).
Quesnel RCMP, with assistance from the North District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on the 600 block of Fir Street at around 2pm.
Sgt. Clay Kronebusch says some of the suspects did not follow police commands requiring the use of diversionary tactics.
Three men and two women were eventually taken into custody and four of them were later released pending further investigation.
