Vehicle seized after North Shore shots fired complaint Thursday
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a high-visibility response to the Kamloops North Shore Thursday evening (Oct. 6) came due to a shots fired complaint.
In a news release issued Saturday, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers responded to the 200-block of Tranquille Road at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of shots fired.
Evelyn says officers identified a residence and suspect associated with the complaint. Police seized a vehicle from another location the next morning. She notes no one was injured in the incident.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, police believe the shooting was targeted toward a specific vehicle,” said Evelyn. “Evidence collection, including video canvassing, witness statements, vehicle seizure, and a search warrant execution, quickly followed the initial report and the investigation is progressing well.”
