GOLDEN, B.C. — One of two people found dead in a car east of Golden last month has been identified as a Thompson Rivers University (TRU) student.
In a news release issued on Sept. 16, Golden-Field RCMP say the nature of the two deaths near the Bowles-Evans Forest Service Road is believed to be suspicious. The bodies were discovered on Sept. 11.
In an online fundraiser, one of the deceased was identified as 25-year-old Gurwinder Singh.
However, as the BC Coroners Service continues its investigation, police say investigators believe the deaths are isolated and there is no risk to the public.
