Cariboo city councillor injured in ‘serious’ crash Monday

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A Williams Lake city councillor is recovering in hospital after he was involved in a motor vehicle incident.
According to a news release, it occurred Monday afternoon (Oct. 5) this week and Ivan Bonnell is in the city’s thoughts.
“On behalf of Council and staff, we would like to wish Ivan all the best as he works to recover,” said Mayor Walt Cobb.
Bonnell, who is seeking re-election on Oct. 15, is being treated at Kelowna General Hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash at the intersection of Highway 97 and Mackenzie Avenue South.
