Dirt bike stolen from Sahali in June recovered after Rivers Trail joyride

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say a dirt bike being ridden illegally on the Rivers Trail near Westmount Sunday (Oct. 2) turned out to be stolen.

Officers responded to the trail near the 300-block of Collingwood Drive Sunday morning at about 9:40 a.m. for the report of the motorcycle on the trail.

Officers eventually found the motorcycle on Schubert Drive. The rider was arrested for several offences, including prohibited driving and possession of stolen property.

The dirt bike was reported stolen from Chancellor Drive in Sahali in June. It has since been returned to its proper owner.
