RCMP search for woman whose vehicle broke down between Merritt and Logan Lake

MERRITT, B.C. — RCMP are looking for a woman who went missing after apparently attending a yoga retreat last week.

In a news release, Merritt RCMP say Jacqueline McDermott, 22, has not been seen or heard from since Thursday (Sept. 29).

Officers believe McDermott was set to attend a yoga retreat near Merritt on Friday, but left after a short time.

Her vehicle was found broken down on the side of Highway 97C between Merritt and Logan Lake. Witnesses report seeing McDermott around her vehicle at this location.

RCMP Air Services, Police Dog Services and local Search and Rescue volunteers have conducted an extensive search, with no sign of the woman.
