KAMLOOPS — RCMP, the B.C. Coroners Service and C.P. Police are looking into the death of a man in a collision with a train in downtown Kamloops Sunday night (Oct. 2).

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were called at about 10:05 p.m., responding to the scene on the C.P. tracks off Victoria Street West between First Avenue and the Overlanders Bridge.

The victim was a man in his 30s.

“Part of our investigation into any sudden death includes talking to people who may have information regarding the victim and his recent movements,” said Evelyn. “If anyone has dash camera or surveillance footage in the area of the railway tracks that night before police attended, please contact us as soon as possible.”
