Kamloops’ Team Brown comes out on top in Vernon
VERNON, B.C. — There was a strong international flavour to the championship games at the Prestige Hotels and Resorts Curling Classic.
The three-day event, which wrapped up Sunday at the Vernon Curling Club, was making its return from a two-year pandemic absence and featured Canadian, American and international teams competing for cash prizes.
Former B.C. champion Corryn Brown of Kamloops defeated Ikue Kitazawa of Japan 5-4 to win the women’s top prize of $5,000.
