First Nations Health Authority vehicle found with major fire damage in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating after a truck was found with significant fire damage in downtown Kamloops.

In a news release issued Monday (Sept. 26) morning, Kamloops RCMP say they received a report of a vehicle fire in the parking lot at Lansdowne Street and Second Avenue at around 11:15 p.m. Friday (Sept. 23). A second vehicle nearby the burnt truck also received minor fire damage to its passenger side.

Footage captured by CFJC Today shows the mostly burnt truck belonged to First Nations Health Authority.

According to witness reports, three people were seen fleeing the area, but RCMP say there were no specific descriptions provided.

Police are investigating and would like to speak with anyone who may have information or video related to the incident, including the three people reported as leaving the area at the time of the fire.
