KAMLOOPS — Kamloops’ Brewloops is back again this upcoming weekend and with a little bit of a twist.

On Saturday (Sept. 24), the annual Brewloops festival returns and showcases local and B.C. breweries, distilleries and cideries.

This year the Garden Party features live music, food and activities.

“We’ve got about 10 different breweries and cideries coming out as well as some other games and entertainment that should make for a great event,” says Brewloops Director Tyson Andrykew.

The event will be popping up in a garden-like space on the shore of the North Thompson River in the 200-block of Royal Avenue.

Funds raised through Brewloops will go toward Western Canada Theatre and the Kamloops West Rotary Club.

As we’re just two days away from Brewloops, tickets are going fast.

“Over the years we’ve raised over $150,000 in direct donations to charities and different groups. As far as how many people we’re expecting, roughly we’ve got 1,350 tickets for sale. There’s just a couple hundred tickets left so if people haven’t gone out there and got them already I encourage you to go out and buy it because we’re probably going to be selling out pretty quickly,” adds Andrykew.

The event gets underway at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the future location of the Thompson Landing at 209 Royal Avenue.
