KAMLOOPS — A man was arrested after Kamloops RCMP found a white pickup truck on the North Shore that was associated with at least three police files, including stolen property reports.

In a news release issued Friday (Sept. 16) morning, RCMP say an officer patrolling near Yew Street Thursday (Sept. 15) and recognized the truck that matched the description of a truck stolen from the 700-block of Columbia Street West. Police add the same truck had a license plate attached that had also been reported as lost or stolen and was the subject of a suspicious vehicle complaint in Juniper Ridge on Tuesday (Sept. 13).

“The truck was unoccupied at the time of its discovery, but thanks to a good description of its occupants provided from a person in the area, officers were able to find and arrest two people nearby,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says. “One of those people matched the description of the person photographed during the Juniper Ridge report.”

A woman was also arrested on scene but was later released without proceed. The man received release conditions and a court.
