Kamloops man facing multiple assault, weapons and threats charges
KAMLOOPS — Police say a Kamloops man is facing five charges after officers were called to a weapons incident in Sahali Sunday (Sept. 4) evening.
In a release, Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to the 600-block of Columbia Street West around 8:00 p.m. Sunday, where a man had allegedly made threats with a straight razor after being asked to leave a property.
“As officers pulled into the parking lot, they observed a suspect walking nearby and quickly took him into custody,” says Evelyn.
Vance William Plante, age 28, has been charged with two counts of carry, use, or threaten to use a weapon or imitation weapon in committing an assault; two counts of assault; and one count of carrying a weapon for dangerous purposes.
