Quiet August for Kamloops real estate market; prices continue their ascent
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops real estate market took a bit of a summer vacation in August — though sales prices kept their upward trajectory.
The latest statistics from the Association of Interior Realtors (AIR) show a quiet August, with 165 residential sales in Kamloops. That’s down from 194 in July and a decrease of 42.5 per cent from August, 2021.
Inventory is healthy, with 391 new listings added in August. That’s down 18.5 per cent from July but a whopping 127 per cent increase from August of last year.
Prices continue on the rise, with the Benchmark price, representing a home with “typical attributes,” up by double-digit percentages in each category.
