Kamloops man arrested after alleged Lower Sahali break-in
KAMLOOPS — A 28-year-old Kamloops man was arrested following an alleged break-in in Lower Sahali Wednesday (Aug. 31) morning.
In a news release issued Thursday (Sept. 1), Kamloops RCMP says a security camera captured footage of two men inside a building on the 1200-block of Summit Drive where they appeared to be stealing merchandise and cash.
“Frontline officers quickly arrived on scene and located a suspect on the east side of the building,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says. “The building was cleared with the assistance of the Police Dog Service Unit, but no other suspects were located. The investigation is ongoing.”
The 28-year-old man remains in custody. He’s charged with break and enter, theft and mischief.
