City of Kamloops renews call for public input on community’s cultural direction
KAMLOOPS — After researchers initially invited residents to provide input on Kamloops’ cultural direction back in June, the City is asking them to do it again.
In a news release issued Thursday (Aug. 25) morning, the City of Kamloops says residents can help shape the Cultural Strategic Plan by expressing how they experience and interpret culture. Participants can take an online survey or attend the “You Are Here” exhibit at the Kamloops Museum and Archives.
The City says the Cultural Strategic Plan, which was last updated in 2003, is a strategy that clarifies Kamloops’ commitment to cultural presentation, supporting public access to all forms of the arts and heritage, and encouraging the growth and development of arts organizations and companies.
Kamloops residents can partake in the 12-minute survey until Oct. 16 or visit the “You Are Here” exhibit until Sept. 24.
