KAMLOOPS — A road rage incident escalated into a weapons complaint in Valleyview Wednesday (Aug. 17).

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to a fast-food restaurant parking lot in the 1700-block of the East Trans Canada Highway Wednesday at about 1:25 p.m.

Witnesses said a man and woman had been chasing each other with weapons.

“Officers located those involved, both of whom were uninjured, and as part of their investigation, determined the incident started as a result of a road rage incident,” said Evelyn.
