Kamloops RCMP investigating alleged fraudulent cosmetic procedures from North Shore home
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are reaching out to the public after a series of complaints involving cosmetic procedures performed out of a North Shore home.
In a news release issued Thursday (Aug. 18), RCMP say they arrested a woman and executed a search warrant on Wednesday (Aug. 17) as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged fraudulent medical services.
“Police were made aware of the allegations earlier this month and since then, investigators have spoken to several people who have reported receiving botched procedures,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson says. “We believe there may be more people with information who have not yet come forward and encourage them to do so to help further the investigation.”
The woman was released on conditions. RCMP say no further information will be provided as no criminal charges have been approved and the investigation continues.
