Blazers promote director of player personnel to assistant GM

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers’ front office has promoted from within.

In a news release Thursday (Aug. 18), the Blazers announced that director of player personnel Robbie Sandland was promoted to assistant general manager.

Sandland started with the Blazers in 2018 as the team’s head scout of B.C. before being promoted to director of player personnel in 2019. He has led the Blazers in selecting current roster players such as Mats Lindgren, Fraser Minten, Connor Levis and Kaden Hammell.

Sandland will continue in his role leading the Blazers through the WHL Prospects Draft and the U.S. Prospects Draft.
