Major construction work to come to 12th Street between Tranquille Road and McArthur Island

KAMLOOPS — Crews will fully reconstruct one of the roads that leads to McArthur Island Park starting Monday (August 8).

The planned improvements to 12th Street include adding a sidewalk and traffic calming measures, replacing the existing water main and installing a curb and gutter.

Once the construction is underway, 12th Street will be open to southbound traffic only. Northbound traffic will be detoured.

The intersection of 12th Street and Delta Avenue will be closed to all traffic, with access via Barrie Drive.
