Nohomin Creek wildfire now more than 3,000 hectares in size
LYTTON — The Nohomin Creek wildfire near Lytton that started on July 14, is now more than 3,000 hectares in size according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
A wildfire 3,057 hectares in size is burning 1.7 kilometres outside of the village of Lytton and has continued to grow.
Recently, BC Hydro says the fire burned down 60 power poles, damaged power lines and transformer banks, and interrupted power to 112 customers in the area.
That power has been restored to all of its customers in the affected area.
