Eight patients sent to hospital after three-vehicle crash west of Sicamous

SICAMOUS, B.C. — A total of eight patients were sent to hospital after a three-vehicle crash at RW Bruhn Bridge west of Sicamous.

BC Emergency Health Services told CFJC Today they received the call at around 5:44 p.m. Thursday (July 28) and sent an air ambulance and five ground ambulances to the stretch of Highway 1. One patient was transported by air ambulance to hospital in critical condition, while seven patients were sent to hospital in stable condition.

DriveBC first reported that RW Bruhn Bridge was closed at around 7:15 p.m. Thursday. More than six hours later, DriveBC said two-way traffic resumed at around 1:30 a.m. Friday (July 29).
