Weeks after postponing his tour, Shawn Mendes has officially cancelled all scheduled dates.

On Wednesday (7-27) he posted a statement explaining that he was making his health his “first priority.”

He wrote, ” I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away.”

Mendes said that after additional conversations with his team and an “incredible” group of health professionals, he decided he needed a longer break from the road.

Mendes kicked off the tour in Portland, Oregon on June 27, and was slated to play more than 40 shows through October.
