RCMP surround home in Williams Lake after firearm incident, public asked to stay away

UPDATE: RCMP say two people were arrested, and two firearms were seized, as they cleared the scene in the 1200-block of Pigeon Avenue in Williams Lake.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time. However, more details may be released as they become available.

EARLIER: WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Williams Lake RCMP are asking for the public to stay away from the 1200-block of Pigeon Avenue Thursday (July 28) due to “an early morning incident involving a firearm.”

In a news release, RCMP say they were called to the scene at 2:36 a.m., and a man and a woman were arrested in connection with the active investigation.
