Clearwater ER to temporarily close overnight

CLEARWATER — Clearwater area residents are being advised of another overnight emergency department closure at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital.
Interior Health says the department will ‘go on diversion’ at 6 p.m this evening (July 26), until 7 a.m Wednesday (July 27), due to limited staffing availability.
The health authority is reminding residents that if they require emergency care while the department is closed they should call either 9-1-1, call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1, or visit the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
