Good Samaritan sought in Kamloops assault investigation

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Mounties are hoping to talk with a woman who helped out another woman who was running barefoot along East Shuswap Road last month.
The good samaritan stopped and picked up the woman and then drove her to the Tk’emlúps Petro Canada, where the driver purchased a pair of sandals for her.
“Police are hoping to identify and speak to the driver as part of an assault investigation, which may have led to the female running on the road,” said RCMP Corporal Crystal Evelyn.
The incident occurred in the afternoon of Friday, June 17.
