City of Kamloops solicits offers for former Thrupp Manor property, now five riverfront lots

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is advertising five riverfront lots on the Kamloops North Shore for sale.

In a news release issued Monday (July 18), the City says it is now accepting sealed offers for 577, 581, 585, 589 and 593 Royal Avenue.

The lots are all serviced and ready for construction.

The City says the minimum offers for the lots will range from $360,000 to $375,000 plus GST.

“As the City has invested significantly in the purchase and development of the lots, it intends to accept those offers that are most advantageous to the City’s interests,” states the release.

The lots were formerly home to Thrupp Manor seniors home. The City purchased the property after the facility closed about 15 years ago, with residents moving to RiverBend Seniors Community. In 2018, Kamloops council voted to subdivide the property into single-family lots to be sold off.
