Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District asked to fund 40 per cent of two $1 million projects at Quesnel hospital

QUESNEL, B.C. — Northern Health made a formal request for funding for the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District’s (CCRHD) portion of two projects at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel.

During its July 9 board meeting, the CCRHD was asked to fund 40 percent of the $1,191,000 G.R. Baker Lab Chemistry Analyzers replacement and 40 per cent of the $1 million G.R. Baker General X-Ray replacement. The CCRHD’s portion would be $476,000 and $400,000 respectively.

Both requests were included in the 2022 CCRHD Financial Plan approved by the board at its March 18 meeting. The funding requests will be brought forward to the board at its Aug. 12, 2022, meeting for consideration and adoption.
