Ashcroft emergency department closed for the weekend

ASHCROFT, B.C. — Residents of Ashcroft will spend this weekend with no access to the community’s emergency department.
Interior Health has announced the ER will be closed, or ‘on diversion’, throughout the weekend due to limited physician availability.
Normal ER weekend hours in Ashcroft are Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ashcroft and area residents requiring emergency medical care are asked to call 9-1-1 or visit the Royal Inland Hospital emergency department in Kamloops.
