House fire damages Aberdeen home late Tuesday afternoon

KAMLOOPS — A house fire heavily damaged an Aberdeen home Tuesday afternoon (July 12), as Kamloops Fire Rescue responded to the two-alarm blaze shortly before 4:00 pm.

Assistant Chief Scott Karpiak told CFJC Today firefighters who first arrived on the scene found a neighbouring home on fire, but put those flames out quickly.

Asst. Chief Karpiak also said the homeowner was out of the home at the time the fire started, and that no additional injuries occurred.

KFR Investigators are en route to the scene to try and determine the cause of the fire.
