KAMLOOPS — An e-bike stop resulted in a seizure of various illegal items on the Kamloops North Shore last week.
An RCMP officer pulled over an e-bike at about 1:30 p.m. last Thursday (July 7) after the rider was seen riding on the sidewalk and without a helmet.
As the Mountie spoke to the rider, he noticed a machete attached to a backpack. Further searching resulted in the seizure of ammunition, break-in tools, identification documents that belonged to someone else, a small amount of cocaine and what seemed to be a homemade gun.
The man was released with a court date pending.
