Bass Coast festival returns to Merritt

MERRITT, B.C. – Bass Coast is returning to Merritt this weekend for the 14th year and the first in three years.

“It’s going to have been almost 3 years by the time we open the gate we were closed for the last two years and its been quite the roller coaster,” said Andrea Graham, Co-Founder of Bass Coast. “It’s been challenging, emotional, and stressful trying to keep the festival afloat but it feels incredibly good to be back at it and back in Merritt.”

When it comes to the lineup for this year’s festival, it includes a JUNO award winner in DJ Shub taking over main stage on Saturday night.

“I have to say its my dream lineup. It’s looking very good, my favorite artists from all over the world coming, many who were booked for the 2020 festival and never got the chance to actually come preform so its nice to see these artists being able to come and follow through and they are all excited to experience bass coast.”

Although the festival is all sold out, Graham said they are still in search of all kinds of volunteers.

“We are still looking for volunteers so if anybody is interested in volunteering please head to our website. We need preshow volunteers, during the festival volunteers, and also tear down volunteers. Its a really fun way to get to know the crew and to contribute and to meet some really amazing people.”
