KAMLOOPS — Visitors to Peterson Creek Park may notice crews, equipment and some fenced areas on trails in the park from July to mid-September.

In a news release, FortisBC says a section of Tom Moore trail will be detoured as crews work to replace a section of their natural gas line that runs through the utility rights-of-way within the park. When complete, FortisBC says the site will be restored to its previous condition, using seeds and materials appropriate to the park.

According to FortisBC, the routine work makes sure its natural gas system continues to operate safely in Kamloops.

Visitors are asked to watch for any vehicles and equipment that might be crossing or travelling along trails in the park.
