MERRITT, B.C. — Interior Health says the emergency department at Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt will be closed for 24 hours.
In a news release, Interior Health says the temporary closure from 8 a.m. Monday (July 4) to 8 a.m. Tuesday (July 5) is due to limited physician availability.
Merritt and areas residents are asked to visit the emergency departments at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops or Kelowna General Hospital, or call 9-1-1, if they require emergency care. Residents are also asked to call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they’re unsure about needing emergency care.
