Severe thunderstorm watch issued in Kamloops, South Thompson

KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada is warning Kamloops and area residents of a possible thunderstorm.

“Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain,” reads the warning.

Environment Canada says heavy downpour could cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads.

They say hail and destructive wind is also possible.
