Flood watch ends for Shuswap: B.C. River Forecast Centre
KAMLOOPS — The B.C. River Forecast Centre (BCRFC) ended its flood watch for the Shuswap region Sunday (June 26).
However, a flood warning is still in effect for the Quesnel River, and a flood watch is still in effect for the Thompson River from Kamloops to Spences Bridge, and the South Thompson River.
The North Thompson River, including tributaries around Barriere, Clearwater, and Blue River, and the Nicola River remain in a high streamflow advisory stage.
BCRFC says rivers have peaked from rainfall earlier this week, and snowmelt risks may ease up.
