Kamloops Fire Rescue names Calgary’s Ken Uzeloc new chief
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has announced that Ken Uzeloc has been named Chief of Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR). He will assume the role on August 2, 2022.
Uzeloc has over 30 years of experience, including his last 15 in Calgary as Deputy Chief where he oversaw portfolios in risk management, diversity and inclusion, operations and technical teams, planning and compliance and administration.
“I am extremely honoured to be joining the dedicated team at Kamloops Fire Rescue and the City of Kamloops. I am excited for the opportunity to work with Kamloops Fire Rescue and to build on the tremendous service they provide every day to the citizens of Kamloops and the community,” said Uzeloc.
Uzeloc succeeds Chief Steve Robinson who retired at the end of April 2022.
