Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant collared in Shuswap
SALMON ARM, B.C. — RCMP in the Shuswap nabbed a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant early Thursday morning (June 15).
In a news release, Staff Sgt. Scott West of Salmon Arm RCMP says officers from the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT) were about to return to a home in Eagle Bay Wednesday on an unrelated investigation when they learned the wanted man was potentially at the home.
The suspect fled before officers arrived.
“Salmon Arm RCMP and partners searched for the suspect for several hours, until a tip from the public was received and he was located,” said West. “The man was located just after midnight in the Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road Area without incident.”
