Boil water advisory issued after ‘major water loss’ in 100 Mile House

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The District of 100 Mile House is investigating the cause of a “major loss of water” and asking residents to take drastic action.

In a notice on its website, the District says all residents are advised to boil water before drinking it. The exception to the advisory is the community’s Exeter area.

Due to the water loss, the District says contaminants may have entered the water system, including dirt and sediment.

Residents are told they may have no water service until the problem is rectified.
