Clearwater emergency department to see overnight closures this weekend

CLEARWATER, B.C. — The emergency department in Clearwater will once again see closures this weekend.
Interior Health says the ER at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital will be closed from 5:00 p.m. Friday (June 3) to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, then again from 5:00 p.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday.
IH says the closure is due to “unforeseen limited staffing availability.”
Anyone in the area in need of emergency medical care is urged to call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
