KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops-Thompson School District Board of Education has refreshed its list of capital priorities as it tries to keep up with ballooning enrolment.

The capital priority list includes five new schools and eight school replacements.

In a news release, Board Chair Heather Grieve says the province’s Ministry of Education has already confirmed its support for new elementary schools in Pineview Valley and Batchelor Heights, though no concrete plans have been announced.

The new list includes an elementary school in Juniper West, two new elementary schools in Aberdeen, a K-to-12 school in Sun Peaks and a new secondary school in Aberdeen.
