Woman arrested after early morning break-in at chamber office in 100 Mile House
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP in 100 Mile House arrested a woman Tuesday morning (May 31) after a break-in at the local chamber of commerce office.
In a news release, RCMP say they received an alarm just after 6:00 a.m. at the South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce office in the 300-block of Birch Avenue.
The first officer who arrived found the door open and a search of the building revealed a 20-year-old woman trying to hide from police in the bathroom.
The woman was arrested without incident, but RCMP say she assaulted the officer by kicking and punching him while being lodged in cells. The officer was not badly hurt.
