Clearwater emergency room to close temporarily Wednesday night

CLEARWATER, B.C. — Interior Health (IH) said in a press release that the emergency room at the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital will be closing Wednesday (May 25) night.
The department will close at 5:00 p.m. and open at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday (May 26).
IH cites “unforeseen limited staffing availability” for the closure.
Those who need emergency medical attention should call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
