Woman dies after vehicle rolls down hill in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A woman died after a single vehicle crash near the Stampede Grounds in Williams Lake Sunday (May 22) evening.
In a news release issued Tuesday (May 24) morning, Williams Lake RCMP say they discovered a 1967 Kaiser 4×4 was attempting to climb a steep hill when it stalled near the top, rolled back down the hill and flipped on its roof trapping one of the four occupants.
Police say the woman was a passenger and died on scene. The remaining three suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
“The investigation is ongoing. However, police believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash,” S/Sgt. Del Byron says.
