Rivers FC clubs win and draw in first pair of games

KAMLOOPS — Semi-pro soccer had a successful first weekend in Kamloops.

Rivers FC, Kamloops’ club in the League1 BC semi-pro men’s and women’s soccer league, saw a win and a draw during their inaugural games with a combined attendance of over 700 fans at Hillside Stadium Sunday (May 22).

The women defeated Altitude FC from North Vancouver 2-0 with goals from Emily Clark and Camryn Curts.

The men earned a 1-1 draw with Altitude FC with Daniel Sango converting a late penalty kick in the final seconds.
