CFJC newsroom honoured for multi-platform coverage of Tk’emlúps confirmation of unmarked graves
KAMLOOPS — RTDNA Canada has named the CFJC Today newsroom as a winner of one of its annual West Region awards.
CFJC was given top spot in the Continuing Coverage category for the newsroom’s coverage, across all of its platforms, of the confirmation of unmarked graves found near the former Kamloops Residential School grounds.
CFJC was the first media outlet to report on the findings of a ground-penetrating radar project commissioned by Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, a development that touched off similar findings across the country, shaking the foundations of Canada’s reconciliation with Indigenous people.
