Salmon Arm man $500,000 richer after lottery win

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A Salmon Arm man was convinced his eyes were playing tricks on him upon finding out his Lotto Max ticket from the May 3 draw matched all four Extra numbers.
The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) says Michael Heater purchased the ticket that won him $500,000 from the Hideaway Liquor Store on Lakeshore Drive.
“I was in my office when I checked my tickets and thought, ‘This can’t be real.’ I called BCLC right away. It will relieve some worries, but I’ve always just played for fun.”
Although Heater currently doesn’t have many concrete plans for his prize, he does have his eyes on a new truck.
