COVID-19 returns to Overlander Residential Care; four deaths at The Hamlets

KAMLOOPS — Overlander Residential Care is subject to another COVID-19 outbreak.

Interior Health says the outbreak in the facility’s Building B was declared on Thursday (May 19). There are 12 cases connected to the outbreak.

As of Friday, the Overlander outbreak is the fifth active outbreak in Interior Health and second in Kamloops.

An outbreak at The Hamlets at Westsyde initially declared on April 7 is still ongoing. That facility has seen 81 cases and four deaths in connection with its outbreak.
